Apostolos Giannou’s Masterclass

LCFootball strives to deliver the highest quality throughout all of our events and programs. Last Saturday we launched our first Academy and Goalkeeper clinic in Melbourne which was an absolute success. Moving forward the program will run out of Carey Grammar Sports Complex in Bulleen every Saturday morning from until the 17th December.
We were very lucky to have with us on our first day the current Socceroo striker Apostolos Giannou, who plays his club football for Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F. Apo stopped by Melbourne for a few days prior to the upcoming Socceroo Camp and World Cup qualifiers in Perth and the UAE.

Considering the fact that he doesn’t get much time off to come home at the end of every season, we were very lucky that he managed to find the time in his busy schedule to accept our invitation. The lucky group of LCF players not only had the chance to meet Giannou but also were able to train alongside him.
The Socceroo completed the full training session with the group and took every opportunity to encourage the participants, give some pointers and advice. An unforgettable experience for the boys who learned a lot from his knowledge and experiences both on and off the pitch. Throughout the session, Apo was very active and shared some valuable tips with the players and even displayed his awesome goal scoring ability in a small sided game at the end.
Giannou was very open and willing to participate in all the drills with the LCF players, displaying a professional approach to all parts of the training session which served as a great example for the young players.
On behalf of the team  at LCFootball, we want to say a big THANK YOU to him for his time and for the invaluable experience that the players will always remember. We wish him all the best for his upcoming Socceroos commitments and hope to see him back at LCFootball soon!
